With everything going on these days, specifically in the Middle East, I can't help but wonder what Mark has to say? I wonder about Mark Zuckerberg because my brain cells can no longer visualize Al Kathafi and his offspring, Suzan and her drama, or the murderous crimes of "he who must not be named" and for sure my optical nerves can no longer see the constant failure of Lebanese politicians and law makers, nor can my stomach swallow the revolting lies of world leaders... No, no, Mark is different, he is special... he is not the most handsome and not the nicest... but the 27 year old has been by far among the most influential in the past few years.
This is a man, who according to Forbes magazine was invited to dine with Obama back in March of this year following the spread of revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, and Yemen, had done something different alright! He has changed the face of human interaction as we know it and provided the ultimate tool needed to spark everything from revolutions to charity campaigns...
But we all know this, what we don't know is
how does Mark feel about that? Is he aware of the impact his invention has had on people's lives and in the middle east's case deaths... Does he sit in his California home in a dark study room with at least 20 LCD screens monitoring the different groups that pop up? Does he have a system like the one batman has in his cave that allows him to track the next big group? Does he place bets with his friends on where will revolutions spread next? how many people will participate? and when and where will the crowd meet?

Did he ask that the page supporting Palestine's 3rd uprising close down or was it an automated procedure he knew nothing of - if a page reaches 400,000 members we shut it down? Does he know bou 3azizi? Does he watch Shankboot? Did he anticipate how many people will attend the LAIC pride? Does he comprehend what LAIC stands for and what are they demanding? Do you think he has any idea who Munib Al Masri is? and how he is doing right now? Does he know that Munib learned about the call for the uprising despite the shot down of the page? does he know that Munib was shot by Israelis even though he was unarmed? Does he know that his friends started a facebook group to support him and broadcasted a message that went viral in attempts to help save his life?
Does Lebanon or anything or anyone related to Lebanon or even the Middle East appear on his screens in his Californian cave?
No one knows! No one knows what Mark sees on those screens or whether they exist but Mark; no one can support Munib but Munib, only he can pull through his agony now... They both changed me and many others around me... one of them created a tool I used to learn about the inspiring courage of the other... each one's impact is different and the causes and values they stand for are also different but one thing is for sure I will continue to wonder about Mark and Munib every now and then... one can only wonder about great inventions or great men...
